Subaru Helps National Parks Become Landfill-Free

Our nation's National Parks are bastions of pristine, preserved wild lands. Every year, locales like Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore attract millions of visitors from around the world, where people can experience nature first-hand, and learn about conservation.

Despite their message of environmental stewardship, however, the parks themselves could use a little help. Visitors to the parks leave behind 100 million pounds of landfill-bound trash each year.

Subaru has been operating landfill-free since 2004. Since then, the company has helped other manufacturers reduce their waste and achieve landfill-free status.

Now, Subaru is working with the National Parks Service, and the National Parks Conservation Association to reduce waste in Yosemite, Denali, and Grand Teton National Parks.

At Serra Subaru of Traverse City, we hope you'll join us in wishing the parks good luck on their quest to reduce waste. Browse our new vehicles, and see the benefit of Subaru's go-anywhere standard all-wheel drive, and ecologically conscious low-emissions ratings.
